| Bishop Precioso Cantillas Visits Switzerland |

Bishop Cantillas is a frequent visitor to PCM Switzerland and serves as its Philippine pastoral overseer. He will arrive in Geneva on 13 July to attend the regular meeting of the Governing Committee of the International Catholic Migration Commission (ICMC), a Geneva-based international organization that serves and protects the needs of uprooted people, refugees and internally displaced persons and migrants. The good bishop will be attending the meeting in his capacity as Secretary of the Committee and Asian representative along with Fr. Neil Karunaratne of Sri Lanka. After his three-day meeting with the ICMC, he will say mass on Friday, 17 July, 6:30 p.m. at the John 23rd Parish in Geneva. He will then travel to Zurich the following day in time to celebrate the Holy Eucharist in the nearby city of Basel on Sunday, 19 July. The mass is scheduled to start at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Joseph Parish. Everyone is invited to the Holy Eucharist celebrations with Bishop Cantillas. On 21 July, he will travel back to the Philippines. |
His Excellency Bishop Precioso Cantillas, chairman of CBCP-ECMI (Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines-Episcopal Commission for the Pastoral Care of Migrants and Itinerant People) and bishop of the Diocese of Maasin, Leyte, shall visit Switzerland on 13-21 July 2009.
