PCM Swiss mourns the death of former President Cory Aquino |

 Masses were offered for the eternal repose of ex-President Corazon Aquino who died of cardio-respiratory arrest at 3:18 a.m. August 1 Saturday (9:18 p.m. Friday Swiss time) at the Makati Medical Center in the Philippines.
Aquino, the first woman president of the Philippines, was catapulted to power after the peaceful "People Power" revolution of 1986 that ousted Philippine strongman Ferdinand Marcos.

 In yet another manifestation of how blessed the Filipino Catholics of Switzerland are, His Excellency Archbishop Ramon Arguelles is scheduled to visit Switzerland on 19 August 2009.
Abp. Arguelles is the archbishop of the Archdiocese of Lipa in Batangas. Prior to his present ministry, he served as the Military Ordinary of the Military Ordinariate of the Philippines from 1995 to 2005, and as the chaplain of the Filipino Catholic migrants in Rome from 1990 to 1992.

Bishop Francisco Claver Visits Switzerland |

 His Excellency Bishop Francisco Claver shall be celebrating holy mass on June 28, 2009 at 5:00 pm at the Erloesser Kirche in Zurich.
On Tuesday, June 30, 2009, at 6:30 pm, he will be coming to Geneva to celebrate mass at the John 23rd Parish.
Bishop Claver is a retired Bishop of the Diocese of Bontoc/Lagawe. He recently celebrated his 80th birthday, and on the occasion of his visit to Switzerland, has expressed his desire to meet members of our Filipino community.

Bishop Precioso Cantillas Visits Switzerland |

 His Excellency Bishop Precioso Cantillas, chairman of CBCP-ECMI (Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines-Episcopal Commission for the Pastoral Care of Migrants and Itinerant People) and bishop of the Diocese of Maasin, Leyte, shall visit Switzerland on 13-21 July 2009.
Bishop Cantillas is a frequent visitor to PCM Switzerland and serves as its Philippine pastoral overseer. He will arrive in Geneva on 13 July to attend the regular meeting of the Governing Committee of the International Catholic Migration Commission (ICMC), a Geneva-based international organization that serves and protects the needs of uprooted people, refugees and internally displaced persons and migrants.
